Weekly News Post

Meganebu!
The character page for the new character in Meganebu! Vol.3 is finally up. Suzuki Toru (CV: Inoue Gou) is a member of the science club and holds a grudge against Souma. His nickname is "number 3" because of the three people named Suzuki in the school, he was the one that placed lowest in the sports test. This is why Souma calls him "number 3" and also why Toru still holds a grudge against him after a year.

Hatoful Kareshi
The official blog confirms that they have sarted production on a new Hatoful Kareshi drama CD. The theme this time will be 'mamentine' (the in-game equivalent of valentine. On mamentine you give the pigeon you like beans instead of chocolate). No release date has been given yet, but the post states that more info will be released in the course of this month.

Double Score
The voice samples for Sakita Takuto (CV: Fujiwara Keiji) his CD DOuble Score ~Rose~ are up. In the first sample Shirosaki Rio (CV: Okawa Tohru) is visiting Takuto his cafe and sweet talking him into making him some food. As soon as Rio mentions that he heard that Takuto is dating a cute high school girl Takuto drops the fry-pan he is holding out of surprise xD

In the second sample track you are teasing Takuto until he decides to turn the tables and tease you instead.

 Heart Supplement
The cover for vol.2 has been released. Apparently they chose to use a different illustrator this time (too bad, I kind of like Kazuaki)

Meanwhile what looks like a vol.3 has also been announced: Sukima Time. Interesting enough, this has it's own teaser site so I'm not sure whether it is vol.3 or some sort of spin-off. Either way Sukima Time will be there for you on those moments that you find yourself having a little time. ("sukima" means something like "gap" or "opening". Imagine something like when you have 10min between two things you need to do)

42Gami
Vol.2 of the 42gami (shinigami) series has been announced. This time the shinigami Armonica (CV: Suwabe Junichi) will be coming for your life. Armonica is a veteran shinigami who doesn't believe in love, so all the sweet words he says are lies. Or maybe not all of them... The CD is planned for a 2012.11.21.

 Toubousha
The second vol for Toubousha has also been announced (YESSS!!!). On a rainy day you run into a blood-covered Ninomiya Naoya (CV: Shimono Hiro). He suddenly pull out a knife and takes you hostage, dragging you to a hotel room. When you turn on the TV you see the news of a certain murder case...

Naoya looks much to cute, haha. But I expect a lot of heartbreak in the bad end again. The CD is planned for a 2012.11.21 release.

Hakotsume CD
New release dates have been given for the Haotsume CD series, along with a cast announcement.

The Knight will be voiced by Toriumi Kousuke, and his CD will be released on 2013.01.23. The vampire brothers will be voiced by Miki Shinichirou (the older brother) and Okamoto Nobuhiko (the younger brother), their CD will be released on 2013.02.27. The Kitsune will be voiced by MorkawaToshiyuki, and his CD will be released on 2013.03.27. And finally the Magician will be voiced by Shimono Hiro, and his CD will be released on 2013.04.24.

A bonus CD for those who buy all four CDs is also planned. Apparently they are writing a scenario where all 5 characters are stuffed into a box together. Sounds like total chaos will ensue.

Kareshi Igai
And the cheating series continues! 彼氏以外5~過ちの代償~ (kareshi igai 5 ~ayamachi no daishou~, Kareshi Igai 5 ~The price for the mistake~) will be released on 2012.12.24, and Kuroda Takaya is listed as the seiyuu. His character already appeared in the Buchou Igai... spin-off CD, but this time he is getting his own CD.

Brother's Conflict
a drama CD featuring all 13 brothers will be released later this month on 2012.10.22. I can't find what kind of story it will be, but the main drama will be 2CDs + a sepparate CD for the cast talk (which will most likely be chaos with so many seiyuu xD)

Kannou Jikan
From a previous blog post it was clear that Kannou Jikan vol.9 has a double cast, but now we know that it has two CD releases as well: a 'red' side in which the scorpion (CV: Okiayu Ryoutarou) is the main character, and a 'black' side in which the spider (CV: Fukuyama Jun) is the main character. Both characters will be in both CDs, but it sounds like only one of them will get some ero time alone with you.

The summaries are rather vague though, so I don't really know what to expect. From what I understand, you lost your parents and were raised by the scorpion, and now you are both living in the castle owned by the spider (whether you went there willingly or were captured varies between the summaries). What is certain though, is that the scorpion has been bound in chains by the spider for some reason, and both are after your body and blood.

Yes blood, and both of them are apparently of a blood sucking variation. To be honest, I never really liked this series save for the first CD, and the incredibly vague description isn't really doing a good job at making me interested again. On the other hand, it has Okiayu Ryoutarou (and Fukuyama Jun)

Ranobe Ouji Seiya
ラノベ王子☆聖也 (ranobe ouji seiya, Seiya - The Prince of Light Novel) is a manga series about the light novel department of the famous publishing company 'Bunko G'. Led by the editor-in-chief Sakuma Seiya (CV: Sugita Tomokazu), the all ikemen editorial department makes for a rather colourful cast.

High school student Ibuki Souji (CV: Yonaga Tsubasa) joins the editorial department as a part-timer, and is immediately rather overwhelmed by the rather curious personalities of Saegami Kazuma (CV: Kakihara Tetsuya), Sonan Katsumi (CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki), Madou Yuusuke (CV: Toriumi Kousuke), and Takayoshi Tsubasa (CV: Miki Shinichirou) who make up the rest of the editorial department.

You can read the first chapter of the manga online here. The drama CD is planned for a 2012.12.28 release, and besides the above mentioned seiyuu the official site also lists Kondo Takashi and Orikasa Ai as cast members.

Ojisama VS Wakazou
Momogre is starting a new series called オジサマVSワカゾウ (ojisama VS wakazou, Ojisama VS Youngster). The first CD features Inoue Kazuhiko as the owner of a host club, Morikawa Toshiyuki as the current number one host of said club. The listener takes the role of the heroine, who has recently been dumped in a pretty horrible way and is taken to the host clube by a friend in the hope that it will cheer her up.

The idea of this series is that it doesn't only give you an older and a younger character to choose from, but also that it uses veteran seiyuu and younger, popular seiyuu for those roles. Although, I think they could have made the gap a bit larger. Like putting seiyu that have been in the business since the '80s (Inoue Kazuhiko, Ishizuka Unsho, Nakata Jouji, Kosuga Jirouta, Fujiwara Keiji, Seki Toshihiko, Koyasu Takehito) against those that started and became popular only recently (Ono Yuuki, Shimono Hiro, Okamoto Nobuhiko, Terashima Takuma, Kaji Yuuki, Yonaga Tsubasa, etc). To my surprise you can include Ono Daisuke in the second group (I had this image in my mind that he has been around like forever, but apparently he started in the '00 as well).

Either way, the release is planned for somewhere in December. Now if someone could give me Koyasu Takehito VS Hirakawa Daisuke I would be the happiest fangirl in the world.

  1. Oh yeah Toubousha!! The first CD was exciting, I wonder what it`ll be like in the second story.

    Also looking forward Ojisama VS Wakazou, and of course, the continued blood loss caused by listening to Double Score... ^^;
